Weekend Forecast: Tour de Fort Lee Criterium

As much as we love our weekday jaunts to Rockleigh there are precious few high level criteriums left in New York City. Among them the Harlem Criterium offers the highest caliber fields thanks to their standing in USA Crits, the Grant's Tomb Criterium features the biggest turnout from racers, the Zach Koop Memorial at Orchard Beach features the most velodrome-like race experience, and this weekend's Fort Lee Criterium features undoubtedly the most challenging course of the bunch. While technically located in New Jersey, the Fort Lee Criterium is hosted by New York City's own Century Road Club Association with TBD's Ted Teyber at the helm as the Director of Open Racing. Featuring great spectator amenities, narrow streets, and a decisive climb between corners three and four the 2017 edition of the race was a breakaway friendly affair with breaks or solo riders taking wins in the Elite Women's, Elite Men's and Men's 3/4 fields to name a few.

With all proceeds from the event going to benefit the Century Road Club Development Foundation and the Fort Lee Education Foundation we encourage everyone to get registered and come out this weekend for what should be another terrific edition of the Fort Lee Criterium. While most of To Be Determined's criterium racers will be in Chicago at Intelligentsia Cup we hope to see you there for a great race that raises money for two good causes.
